University of North Georgia- Gainesville Campus Trails
3.5 miles
The trails at UNG-Gainesville are mostly single-track with a little double-track thrown in. The terrain has little elevation change so it is very beginner friendly. The trails are tight and twisty with abundant roots. These trails are popular with trail runners. The land manager here is University of North Georgia. |
NOTICE:
Temporary Change to UNG Gainesville Campus Trails (as of 6/27/16) We received the message below from UNG today about the Gainesville Campus Trails (Tumbling Creek). They are constructing a new parking lot which will result in a temporary rerouting of the bike trails. Please share this information to friends that ride there: "The 2 trail entrances next to Public Safety are closed for parking lot construction. The trail itself has been re-routed inside the wood line to keep the main part of the trail open. The contractor placed silt fence in the area with markings on them of the new detour. The trail can be entered in at the tennis courts and the sewer easement below the facilities office." |
